Good overall

Suitable for my sons age , he was over the moon about having this as his birthday gift from us. Did not have chance to try lunar/planetic observes yet due to weather, but daytime land observation satisfying for a childrens telescope.

What is your main use for these binoculars?

see moon planets and distant objects

My 14 year old was absolutely delighted with his christmas present. He currently has not seen much of the night sky due to cloudy weather but has still had fun watching birds.

Star gazing

Pluses

Telescope is good, tripod disappoints

I've not yet tested the telescope much, but until now it works better than expected. The tripod is very light, however (great of course for carrying), and doesn't move smoothly. That means you can't aim the telescope well with the tripod handle. Holding the tube itself works better.

Pluses
  • Good quality for price.
  • Portable and handy.
Downsides
  • Tripod moves too stiffly.

First steps in astronomy

Very useful, inexpensive telescope, which is particularly suitable for seeing the moon. This telescope is also very easy to transport because of the backpack supplied with it. So I took it with me on family trip to the Vosges. It's nice to see the little ones (and even the adults) of the family become excited about astronomy with such a cheap and convenient telescope. It teaches you the basics for using telescopes. I also tried to see planets and to track the ISS. But this telescope is simply not strong enough for this.

Pluses
  • Can be transported conveniently with the backpack supplied.
  • User-friendliness, also for children.
  • The price.
Downsides
  • The potency. Don't expect to be able to visit a planet with this telescope.
