Bresser Jupiter 70/700
Once this telescope was well-known under the name "Skylux", but now Bresser renamed it the "Jupiter" after the biggest planet in our solar system. The Jupiter is the best sold Bresser telescope in Europe in this price range, which is very understandable given its excellent qualities. It is equipped with an equatorial mount which allows you to set just one alignment. It possesses a 700mm focal distance and 70x zoom. This makes it especially suited for observing the landscape of the moon and the planets in the solar system. With the accompanying software, you can easily explore further horizons. And, of course, it's completely equipped to help you take in all the Earth's natural beauty.

Bresser Jupiter 70/700

This is my first ever telescope, i wanted one that would serve me for many years without having to upgrade for a long long time and having read other reviews and opinions from more experienced people i found this one to be the ideal choice, so far its excellent, perfect for viewing the moon and planets.

What kind of observations do you primarily do (or are you planning to do) with your telescope?

The moon, planets and stars mostly.

I think it's really a super cool thing, only I'd want some more, I think... Like deep space stuff etc. But for me as a beginner this is already super awesome, fellow people were also very impressed so all in all just very satisfied!

Sturdy and very easy for beginners!

De Bresser Jupiter is a robust telescope to start off with. The mount is a bit of a puzzle at first but you will soon get the hang of it. I have no prior experience with astronomy, but as a beginner I have, on my own, seen wondrous things thanks to this telescope. How long the material will last, only time will tell. At the moment it appears to be very durable equipment!

Pluses
  • easy to use
  • high quality
  • sharp images
  • convenient equatorial montage
Downsides
  • risk of condensation at temperatures below 10 degrees
  • Transport: no case and quite big

Still satisfied after all these years

Bought when it still carried the name Skylux. Clear Dutch manual, easy to operate. Perfect for observation of the moon and planets. Deepsky is possible but don't expect too much from it. But I have happily worked with it for many years. Recommended for beginner.

Pluses
  • Clear manual.
  • Easy to operate.
Downsides
  • Finishing of the tripod assembly/mounting is a bit too rough.

  • many functions
  • value for your money
  • it's delivered quickly
  • you can see planets well
Downsides
  • manual is a bit difficult
