Skywatcher Light Pollution Filter
This contrast-enhancing filter of glass and aluminium is designed to combat light pollution. In addition, it ensures better transport of hydrogen-alpha and hydrogen-beta lines than other filters. Bright objects with lots of light pollution appear darker and the contrast between object and sky is much easier to see with the light pollution filter. This contrast enhancement effect is especially visible in nebulae. Observations of galaxies and star clusters are also improved, although to a lesser extent. You can use the filter on all types of telescopes, but it is recommended for smaller telescopes of up to 114mm.
