The Olivon moon filter reduces the amount of light from the moon, and thus makes for comfortable observing. Without the Olivon moon filter, the light of the moon will be too bright for your eyes. A moon filter works like a pair of sunglasses. There is a sharp decrease in brightness and glow through the filter and this allows you to comfortably view the lunar surface. The Olivon moon filter is perfect to better observe subtle surface details.
