Meade Autostar GoTo hand controller for ETX90, ETX105 can be used to observe 30,000 celestial objects at the push of a button. Pressing the Go To button turns the scope to the object and places it in the field-of-view. You can see all this: galaxies, diffuse & planetary nebulae, star clusters (the best properties of IC, NCG and Caldwell catalogs, as well as all 110 Messier objects, 900 stars (double stars, variable stars, SAO stars), the 8 major planets from Mercury to Pluto, 26 of the brightest asteroids, 15 periodic comets, 50 satellites, plus user-specified objects and the centroid of all 88 constellations. It may be clear that the Meade Autostar GoTo hand controller is a heaven-sent accessory for stargazers.

The automatic Go-To works with any object that is known by its RA and Dec. coordinates.

Digital readouts of telescope position (continuously in RA and Dec.), menu options, overview and more features

Precise slow motion tracking in alt azimuth or equatorial arrangement. For azimuthal tracking you'll have to place the telescope on its drive base and align (e.g. with the pole star).

Nine speeds on both axes adjustable from 2x slow motion to 5 seconds.

The RS-232 serial port is used to control the telescope using a computer and Meade Epoch 2000 sky software. In addition, the serial port is also used for AutoStar updates from Meade's website. In order to control your telescope with your computer, you will also need to buy the Autostar Cable Kit (sold separately).
