The Meade ST 64 is a camera adapter that is specifically designed for the ETX 70/80. This adapter (#st 64) works together with the Marumi T2 ring. In short: yes you need the buy the Meade ST64 adapter as well if you want to connect your SLR to your ETX 70 /80
