CGEM Counterweight 
CGEM counterweight is recommended when using a dew cap, a camera adapter and camera and/or bigger eyepieces. It is also important to add a counterweight when using a tracking motor. This way, you prevent damage due to overload and the balance is restored. This mainly applies to Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes. Using counterweights will enhance the precision of the telescope as well.
