Celestron piggyback camera mount is ideal for astrophotography. Piggyback astrophotography is a logical first step for beginning astrophotographers. Here the telescope does not act as a lens for your camera (as with other types of astrophotography). The advantage of a piggyback camera mount is that you can set much longer shutter speeds. This makes this technique ideal for deep-sky photography. The technique is only possible when using an equatorial mount.

Can also be used in combination with a Starpointer which you fix onto the piggyback. This enables you to navigate and do astrophotography at the same time! This piggyback can be used in combination with 5, 6 and 8 SE Nexstar telescopes.
