Celestron CPC 1100 XLT Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope
The Celestron CPC 1100 XLT Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope is the cream among the telescopes. The Celestron CPC 1100 XLT telescope has full GoTo functionality and is equipped with a GPS receiver. It is very easy to align and has an ergonomic design. Moreover, this Celestron telescope is easy to (de)mount and transport. With the Celestron CPC 1100 telescope it is possible to view detailed images of the surface of Jupiter and Mars: even Uranus, Pluto and Neptune are within reach.
GPS
The GPS receiver automatically downloads the time and data of satellites orbiting around the earth and it determines your exact position on earth wherever you are. It is now no longer necessary to manually enter the date, time, longitude and latitude.
Alignment
Once the internal GPS receiver has determined your location, it is very easy to align the telescope. Just use the remote control to manually aim the Celestron CPC 1100 telescope at three celestial bodies. You don't even need to know the names of these bodies; you can even use the moon or bright stars for this. When the telescope is aligned, the remote control gives you access to any catalogue in the user-friendly database (40.000 objects).
CPC Database
The Celestron CPC 1100 database contains more than 40.000 celestial bodies and objects, including Messier objects, the Caldwell catalogue, NGC constellations, nebula and planets. A special identifying function tells you what you look at but you can also take a tour of the sky. For example, you can aim the telescope in a certain direction, let it identify the Messier objects and the Celestron CPC 1100 automatically shows you the five nearest objects; that is GoTo for you!
