The Celestron astromaster motor drive is a motor with hand controller which can be easily connected to the tripods of the Celestron Astromaster telescopes. These motor drives enable you to easily follow celestial objects with the telescope. When you are interested in astrophotography, then a motor drive is certainly required. The motor drive is powered by a 9 volt alkaline battery. One battery allows the motor to be fed for up to 40 hours (depending on the speeds). You can connect the motor drive to the Celestron CG-2 and CG-3 equatorial tripods.
